Struans - The name for family motoring in Tayside.

From humble beginnings as a one-man business, Struans has grown to be one of the largest dealerships in Tayside. With two branches, both on spacious six-acre sites, our original Motor Village is conveniently located next to the main A9 Perth by-pass, whilst our newer Toyota and used car centre in Dundee is on the main A90 Forfar Road. Between them we are dealers for 3 franchises and employ over 100 people.

At Struans our focus has always been on satisfying customers, with teamwork at the centre of everything we do, and because we are a family business we are closer to our customers, closer to our employees and closer to the community. “We are a one stop shop which means we can drive down cost and drive up choice” states Managing Director, John Robertson, “if for example a customer is looking for a small family hatchback, at our Motor Village he or she can test drive models from Toyota, Mazda and Peugeot all of whose showrooms are within a few yards of each other.”

Our unique approach has won us many awards for customer service and satisfaction and our staff too have been recognised receiving National Awards. We believe that our role is in service and support, not only to our staff and customers, but also to the community in general.

John Robertson is committed to serving the community and has had roles as a Director of Scottish Enterprise Tayside and Perth College and worked within Perth Partnership. "Prosperity is important to us all," adds John “ not only for employment but also for the well being of us all"

We're now in our Twenties and still growing...

It's hard to believe that it's now over 20 years since we opened our first branch at Scott Street in Perth City centre. In those days Scott Street was our Mazda showroom and we're proud that today we still hold the Mazda franchise at Struans Motor Village, making us one of the longest established Mazda dealers in the UK.

Scott Street is now our Struans Garage Services centre dealing with all makes and models of car, and offering Perthshire's motorists a fast, efficient and economical solution for servicing, MOT's, tyres, exhausts brakes, batteries and general repairs.

Its convenient city centre location and the courteous, knowledgeable staff make Struans Garage Services the preferred choice of hundreds of customers.

At Struans we are committed to the training and development of all our staff and haw a policy of promoting from within whenever possible. In fact many of our staff who were with us in those early days are still with us today.

Jimmy Miller who started as a mechanic over 20 years ago is now in charge of our Mazda workshop. Whilst John Dunbar who also started in the 80's as a mechanic is now one of the most experienced Mazda technicians in Scotland. Whilst behind the scenes Donna Scobie who joined us from leaving school in 1985 is now our Accounts/Personnel manager.
