We have now partially re-opened with reduced staff and reduced opening hours, and we will be following government guidelines on social distancing plus we have enhanced measured to help ensure the safety of our staff and customers, which we care about more than ever.
Opening hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm.
Service Departments are open but only to customers who have pre-booked appointments which must be made over the phone or by email rather than by visiting our sites. Priority will be given to NHS and other key workers.
Parts Departments are all open to order and supply parts and we ask you to make initial enquiries by phone.
Showrooms will remain closed due to government restrictions however we have a skeleton sales team who can help with enquiries over the phone or online and can take deposits to reserve cars..
Rental Department has now also re-opened.
Our phones are operational again and you can call us on Dundee 01382 868788 or Perth 01738 445566.
Thank for your understanding at this difficult time for everyone.
We have put some information below we hope you find useful and might answer some questions you have.
If you have an MOT due shortly the government has announced that if it is due to expire from the 30th March onwards it will be extended by 6 months - to see an official article published Click Here. Our Dunde ebranch can also still do a limited number of MOT's.
Please always remember your vehicle still needs to be roadworthy during the extension to avoid a fine and penalty points.
Our Service Department in Dundee is currently open weekdays with a skeleton staff. Priority is given to NHS or key workers with breakdowns or vehicle problems but we do also have limited availability for routine servicing and MOT's. Bookings are only by appointment only and can be requested by email - email@example.com .
Our Service Department in Perth is currently closed with all current bookings cancelled. We are really sorry if our team never managed to contact in the short time we had after the closure was announced.
If your car is going to go past its service date, a good thing to do would be to check the tyre pressure, the oil level on the dipstick and make sure your washer bottle has been topped up.
As soon as our Service Departments are fully back in action we will be in touch with everyone who has missed their service date so that they can get booked in. Rest assured we'll be working as hard as we can to get up to date and make sure your vehicles is fully maintained.
We understand it could be of concern if you have a warranty that expires but you've not been able to have your vehicle looked at because we're closed. Therefore if it is a Struans Used Car Warranty we are going to extend it so that you have up to 7 days after we re-open to book your vehicle in with one of our Service Departments. For Toyota warranties and service schedules they have advised us that they will be taking a flexible and sympathetic approach to these issues .We would hope that Peugeot and Mazda to have a similar approach but are waiting on clarification from them with the latest news will be posted here. If you think you are going to have a warranty claim after it has officially expired please email us while the warranty is still valid noting the registration number, vehicle make/model and a brief description of the issue.
Toyota in conjunction with the AA are providing FREE Roadside Assistance until further notice to key workers driving a Toyota of any age. To register, confirm your eligibility and activate cover please call 0800 246 824 .
In addition and Toyota Roadside Assistance policies that are expiring at this time are automatically being extended by 3 months.
If you currently have a car on the Motability scheme and the agreement is due end shortly then don't worry - Motability are extending agreements by 6 months and you will continue to be insured and will pay the same monthly amount.
Also, in light of the current situation Motability are currently not accepting and new applications.
If you have any concerns at all about the finance on your vehicles and payments during these uncertain times it is best to contact the finance company straight away to discuss things and avoid any potential problems.
It can be a little more difficult to contact the finance companies by phone at the moment with longer delays on hold so it can often be easiest to contact them online. Below are the best ways to contact most of the companies we use. If you're not sure of which company your finance is with the easiest way is to look at your bank statement and it will show against the direct debit coming out of your account, or you can email us on the addresses above.
