Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Above all we care about the safety of our staff and customers which is more important than ever during the current Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, as a responsible business we chose to completely close all Struans dealerships from 23/03/20 until either 13th April or whenever the current lock down is relaxed.

There is a small team of people handling emails from home so if you have any questions about your motoring needs or any of our vehicles for sale then you can still use our online forms and we will try our best to answer them, and it is still possible to reserve vehicles.

For service and repair queries, or anything more urgent please email perth@struans.com or dundee@struans.com . Even while we are closed we will do our best to help NHS and emergency workers..

Fingers crossed it won't be too long before we all pull through the current situation and we will be able to re-open. As soon as there is an update on that we will post details here and on our Facebook pages.

MOT's

If you have an MOT due shortly the government has announced that if it is due to expire from the 30th March onwards it will be extended by 6 months - to see an official article published Click Here.

To double check your MOT has been extended Click Here and if it hasn't you need to email DVLA at covid19mot@dvsa.gov.uk with details of the vehicle and when the MOT expired.

Please always remember your vehicle still needs to be roadworthy during the extension to avoid a fine and penalty points.

Servicing

As we are closed unfortunately no services are being carried out at the moment with current bookings cancelled. We are really sorry if our team never managed to contact in the short time we had after the closure was announced.

If your car is going to go past its service date, a good thing to do would be to check the tyre pressure, the oil level on the dipstick and make sure your washer bottle has been topped up.

As soon as our Service Department is back in action we will be in touch with everyone who has missed their service date so that they can get booked in. Priority will be given to key workers and customers who have had bookings cancelled, but rest assured we'll be working as hard as we can to get up to date and make sure your vehicles is fully maintained.

Warranties

We understand it could be of concern if you have a warranty that expires but you've not been able to have your vehicle looked at because we're closed. Therefore if it is a Struans Used Car Warranty we are going to extend it so that you have up to 7 days after we re-open to book your vehicle in with one of our Service Departments. For Toyota warranties and service schedules they have advised us that they will be taking a flexible and sympathetic approach to these issues .We would hope that Peugeot and Mazda to have a similar approach but are waiting on clarification from them with the latest news will be posted here. If you think you are going to have a warranty claim after it has officially expired please email us while the warranty is still valid noting the registration number, vehicle make/model and a brief description of the issue.

Roadside Assistance

Toyota in conjunction with the AA are providing FREE Roadside Assistance until further notice to key workers driving a Toyota of any age. To register, confirm your eligibility and activate cover please call 0800 246 824 .

In addition and Toyota Roadside Assistance policies that are expiring at this time are automatically being extended by 3 months.
